Set up CXOdoo

  1. Install CXOdoo on a supported iPhone, iPad, or Mac, then open Settings, Connections, and Add Connection.
  2. Enter a display name, the HTTPS address of your Odoo environment, the database name, your expected Odoo login, and your API key.
  3. Choose Test and Save. CXOdoo checks the Odoo version, signed-in identity, accessible companies, and the Odoo capabilities available to that user.
  4. If the connection can access more than one company, open the saved connection and select the company you want CXOdoo to use.

Use Refresh Connection after Odoo permissions, installed applications, or company access change. Use Replace API Key when the saved key is rotated.

Choose how connections are stored

Each connection can remain on the current device or, after explicit consent, be made discoverable to CXOdoo on the user's other Apple devices through iCloud Keychain. A device-only connection is not synchronised. The receiving device validates the imported identity, company, and permissions directly with Odoo before the connection can be used.

Capture receipts

  1. Open Receipts.
  2. Choose Vendor Bill or Employee Expense.
  3. Turn on Multiple invoices or receipts only when each selected item should become a separate Odoo record.
  4. If requested, choose the Odoo connection and purchase journal.
  5. On iPhone or iPad, choose Scan with Camera, Choose from Photos, or Choose Image or PDF. On Mac, use a selected file or Continuity Camera where available.
  6. When several items are selected, confirm whether they belong to one document or separate Odoo records.

CXOdoo creates the supported draft record in the selected Odoo company. Odoo remains authoritative for the accounting record, tax treatment, approval, posting, and payment.

Record project time

  1. Open Time and choose the Odoo workspace when more than one is available.
  2. Enter an optional description, then choose the project and optional task.
  3. For Timer, choose Start. Choose Stop when the work finishes, or Switch to move to another project or task after confirming the change.
  4. For Manual, choose the date and duration, then choose Save entry.
  5. Use favourites and recent selections for work you record regularly. Review Today to compare the entries and total returned by Odoo.

Odoo permits one running timer per user. CXOdoo checks the Odoo timer before starting, switching, stopping, or reconciling work.

On iPhone, a running timer can be shown through widgets and Live Activities. On Mac, the menu-bar pop-out provides quick timer and receipt actions.

Plans and purchases

Core connection management is free. Receipts and Time are separate optional subscriptions, each available monthly or annually. Open Settings, then Plans and Purchases, to see the prices and introductory-offer eligibility supplied by the App Store, restore purchases, or open Apple subscription management.

Resolve sync issues

If a receipt or time entry cannot be confirmed safely, open Settings, then Sync Issues. Retry after the connection is restored, open the confirmed Odoo record where available, or discard only the unresolved local item you no longer want CXOdoo to retry.

Security and privacy

The API key is stored in Apple Keychain using the storage choice made for that connection. CXOdoo connects directly to the customer's Odoo environment; CXO Advisory does not operate an intermediary service for receipt or timesheet data. Do not send API keys, passwords, access tokens, private keys, or other credentials through Support.

Troubleshooting

  • If a workflow is unavailable, refresh the connection and confirm the Odoo user can access the required company, application, and business records.
  • If authentication fails, confirm the HTTPS address, database, expected login, and API key, then replace the key if it has been revoked.
  • If work remains unresolved, review Sync Issues before repeating the action so an uncertain result is not submitted twice.
