Installation

1. Add cxo_app_launcher_sort to the Odoo 19 custom addons path.
2. Update the Apps list and install Odoo App Organiser.
3. Refresh the browser so the new backend assets load.

Using Odoo App Organiser

Open the Odoo backend home menu after installation. Odoo App Organiser automatically places business apps in alphabetical order, keeps Apps second-last and keeps Settings last.

No administrator configuration or separate save action is required.

Personalise your app order

1. Open the backend home menu.
2. Drag a business app to the position where you want it.
3. Release the app. Your order is saved automatically for your Odoo user.
4. Reload the page to confirm the saved order.

Apps and Settings remain at the end of the launcher. Each user has an independent saved order.

Use your order in another browser or device

Sign in to Odoo as the same user, open the backend and reload the page. The order stored for that user is restored from Odoo.

Reset to alphabetical order

1. Open Change My Preferences from your user menu.
2. Open the Launcher Preferences tab.
3. Select Reset App Order to Alphabetical.
4. Confirm the reset. Odoo reloads with business apps in alphabetical order, Apps second-last and Settings last.

The reset reloads the page, so save any unrelated preference changes before using it.

When another app is installed

Reload the backend after the app becomes available. Odoo App Organiser places the new app alphabetically among business apps while retaining the rest of your saved arrangement.

Troubleshooting

• If the launcher does not change after installation or upgrade, refresh the browser so the current asset bundle loads.
• If another browser or device shows an older order, confirm you are signed in as the same Odoo user and reload the page.
• If you want to discard a personal arrangement, use Reset App Order to Alphabetical in Launcher Preferences.

Limitations

• Odoo 19 Enterprise only.
• The module does not change menu security or the sequence of menu records.
• Later Odoo major versions require a separately supported release.
